KappaKappas are legendary creatures; a type of water imp found in Japanese folklore. Most kappa are as small as a child. They are half monkey, half human, and half frog. Some have beaks while others have monkey faces. Most pictures of them show them with scaly skin that is green or blue and thick shells. They have webbed hands and feet. It is said that they smelled like fish and swam as well as them. They most important feature of a kappa is the water filled indentation. This water gives the Kappa strength. The only way to take the kappa's strength is to make the kappa spill the water from the top of it's head. A good way to make a kappa spill the water out of the top of it's head is to bow when you meet one. Parents tell their children to bow to everyone they meet so if they happen to meet a kappa the water will spill out of their head. Kappa are mischievous troublemakers.
