BastetBastet was the goddess of fire, cats, the home, and pregnent women. She was usually depicted as a woman with the head of a domestic house cat but sometimes she was also depicted as a lioness. As a cat, she was associated with the moon but as a lioness, with the sun. Bastet was the "Lady of the East" and wore green while Sekhmet, her opposite, was the "Lady of the West" wore red.
